The Mid-American Conference announced Wednesday, Aug. 30, the presentation of the Cartwright Award to Eastern Michigan University for its program excellence in academics, athletics and citizenship during the 2016-17 school year. The Cartwright Award will be showcased with an on-field presentation Friday, Sept. 1, during the EMU football team's game against Charlotte.
